Hyderabad: Lords Mark Industries Ltd, a manufacturer of IVD products, and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, a Government of India initiative under FITT (Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer), IIT Delhi, have launched the E Smart Clinic project to improve healthcare access in rural India. The project was inaugurated at AIIMS Rajkot by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This initiative follows an MOU signed between Lords Mark Industries and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan at IIT Delhi on February 22, 2024.
Mr. Manav Teli, Executive Director of Lords Mark Industries Ltd, stated, "I am pleased to see the outcome of our collaboration with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan on the E Smart Clinic project. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to innovation and healthcare accessibility, providing rural Indians with advanced diagnostics and medical consultations at an affordable cost. This move aligns with our vision of inclusive healthcare."
The E Smart Clinic, developed with technology partner Dozee, uses patented technology to detect patient vital signs without external attachments and conducts blood tests in 20 minutes. The clinic connects rural patients with doctors online in their local language. Lords Mark Industries has patented the biochemistry and health kiosk with 99 percent accuracy, making it globally unique and affordable for disease detection, in line with the Prime Minister's vision of medical affordability.
Mr. Vijendra Kumar Vijay, National Coordinator at the Foundation for Innovation & Technology Transfer, IIT Delhi, expressed optimism about the partnership, stating, "The collaboration between Lords Mark Industries Ltd, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, and FIIT is a step forward in democratizing healthcare access. We anticipate a transformative impact on India's medical infrastructure."
After successful trials at five initial centers, the E Smart Clinic will be expanded nationwide, with international interest for global distribution. Lords Mark Industries plans to make the clinic accessible across India for less than Rs. 1000 per patient.
The market potential for the E Smart Clinic in India exceeds 3000 crores, presenting opportunities for Lords Mark Industries to supply consumables for various tests. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, present in over 16,000 villages nationwide, will promote and implement the E Smart Clinic project.
The launch of the E Smart Clinic project signifies progress toward accessible and affordable healthcare for all citizens, aligning with the government's vision for a healthier India.
